Here at Vanderwee we go the “extra mile” to offer you the freshest handcrafted Belgian chocolates money can buy. Our chocolates are flown in by Express air freight within 48 hours after being made in Bruges Belgium. We always pick up our pallets ourselves from the airport so there is no delay in offering our valued customers the crisp artisan flavours of Bruges.

 

This approach is extended to our delivery services. Our passion is to get these chocolates delivered as fresh as possible Australia wide. However to achieve this, we are depending on a  few  factors:

 

1.    For same day Sydney metro delivery we need to get your order in prior to 9:30 in the morning.  We do have an afternoon delivery service to Sydney City,the Eastern suburbs and the inner city suburbs only. For delivery  within that area we can take orders up to 15:00. Orders received after those cut off times will be delivered the following business day.
Please be aware that same day couriers require someone to be at home at the time of delivery.

 

2.    Our overnight next business day delivery service is limited to the boundaries of Express Post and Express Post Platinum networks. (covering over 90% of the population) This does not necessary mean that your chocolates will arrive in a less immaculate condition outside this network; it just might take an extra day or two. Orders are taken up 16:00 for next day delivery.

 

3.    In order for us to be able to deliver your gift in the best possible condition, we do require that someone is at home at the day of delivery so the parcel can be delivered hand to hand. While we are prepared to ask the couriers to have the parcel left at the door or, when it is not safe to do so, have it redirected to the nearest post office, awaiting collection from the recipient.  Please be aware that this will have to happen at your risk.  If you are unsure if someone will be at home, why not consider to have their gift delivered to a daytime business address. In this way our couriers have the opportunity to get your gift delivered in a secure way to the reception desk or internal mailroom, they will then pass it on to the recipient.
Same day couriers do require a signature by the recipient, so does overnight express post platinum couriers. Standard overnight express does not require a signature.

 

4.    We are confident we offer the fastest courier services at the best price; there are not that many limitations. What we cannot cater for is delivery during a given time of the day so, please refrain from indicating a delivery time. We are not in a position to have influence on the delivery time as our courier networks are not designed to deliver towards a time frame.

 

5.    Vanderwee is one of Australia’s pioneers in selling online since 2001. We do proud ourselves on the fact that we do get your order ready within hours.  Our delivery service is genuinly transparent. Your order confirmation contains a link to our digital mailroom. This allows you to monitor when your payment has been approved, when we finished your order and when your order has been shipped out. It also contains the link to the parcel tracking facilities. Please be aware on peak moments, eg. Christmas, Easter etc. the freight compartments of planes at Sydney airport may be confronted with more parcels than they can transport. It is known, for some years that this causes delays especially towards Western Autralia and South Australia. We recommend  using express post platinum as your delivery mode to South and Western Australia.

 

6.    When the sender requires delivery instructions we know in advance cannot be met, we preserve the right to decline the order. Payments done via credit card will not be processed. However if the chosen payment method is PayPal, refunds issued will be deducted by the standard PayPal fee that PayPal charges to us.
