Vanderwee Chocolates® was founded in Sydney by the Vanderwee-Rosseel family in 1995. They started importing and retailing on Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall introducing hand-crafted Belgian chocolates, made by independent artisans in Bruges Belgium and imported by express air.

Their approach didn’t go unnoticed by Sydney’s food editors: this small chocolate boutique received numerous write-ups during their first couple of years alone from Gourmet Traveller, Sydney Morning Herald, Delicious Magazine...


 The awareness, spreading rapidly was further accelerated with the advent of the Internet and, as their online shop took off in 2001.


Nowadays 25% of their customers are overseas based. Good taste it appears, knows no boundaries.


As of March 2014 their new premises in the lower Blue Mountains became operational and they went 100% online.
